Your Perfect Life

In 2019, Faeron Wheeler and Erika Breytenbach-Marais teamed up to write this semi-autobiographical work. The team was completed by Sue Diepeveen as director. The piece premiered at the National Arts Festival Fringe in Makhanda, where it received its first Standard Bank Ovation Award. In 2021, it received a second Standard Bank Ovation Award for its digital adaptation on the vFringe. The production has been staged at The Drama Factory, Alexander Bar and Theatre, Die Koelkamers in Paternoster and Theatre on the Square in Sandton.

So You Want to be a Trophy Wife?

Written and performed by Sue Diepeveen and directed by Wynne Bredenkamp, this one-woman show is the story of a woman who feels invisible. Through trying to reclaim her youth, Marie’s eyes are opened to how ridiculous we fairer sex can be. So You Want to be a Trophy Wife? debuted at the online vFringe in 2020 and went on to receive rave reviews when it was finally seen by live audiences later that year. The production has sinced toured to Paternoster, the Umtiza Festival, Woordfess, KKNK, Hilton Arts Festival and Theatre on the Square in Sandton.

(extra)ordinary, (un)usual is a selection of monologues written by Pete Malicki and performed by six actors, each one telling the story of a unique individual. This hybrid theatre-film production received a Silver Standard Bank Ovation Award at the 2021 National Arts Festival.

Jam Every Other Day

Erika Breytenbach-Marais and Celia Musikanth are the creative minds behind bringing this beautiful book to the stage. The play is based on the autobiographical book of the same name by Emmaleen Kriel. The production premiered in 2017 and then went to the National Arts Festival Fringe in 2018. It has toured Cape Town and even gone international with a performance in Hong Kong.
